Battle For Bikini Bottom Will Surface On Mobile Devices January 2021

The battle for Bikini Bottom will continue as SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy prepare to bring the fight to iOS and Android devices later this month as a premium title for the mobile platforms. Originally released in 2003 for Nintendo GameCube, Game Boy Advance, Xbox, PlayStation 2, and Windows PC to mixed reviews, the game has since become a cult classic and in July 2019, THQ Nordic confirmed that they were faithfully remaking the beloved title in all its glory.

The updated version included high-end visuals, modern resolutions, and carefully polished gameplay in addition to including content that was cut from the original game – Robo Squidward boss fight and more! A two-player multiplayer mode was also developed for online and offline play; brand new and not present in the 2003 release.

On January 4th, 2021, HandyGames – a division of THQ Nordic located in Giebelstadt, Germany – announced that it was teaming up with Nickelodeon to bring Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated to mobile devices after the success of the recent PC and console releases. The mobile port of the game will include overhauled visuals for mobile devices, polished controls for a marvelous experience with touch controls and external controller support, and all of the irreverent humour that fans have come to adore.

SpongeBob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated will launch on iOS and Android devices on January 21st, 2021 and cost $9.99 CAD and is currently available for pre-order on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store starting today.

SpongeBob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated is available now on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One X, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Google Stadia, and Windows PC.
