Green Goblin Glides Into Fortnite With An Explosive Bag Of Sinister Treats To Battle Against Spider-Man

After receiving a helpful tip from the part-time staff at The Daily Bugle headquarters, the infamous Green Goblin himself has made his way to Fortnite and will stop at nothing until Spider-Man has been destroyed. Epic Games brought the iconic Marvel villain to the Item Shop on January 27th, 2022 and based his design off the comic book character rather than that which was featured in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man films; portrayed by Willem Dafoe. This is not the first time that a popular Marvel character was inspired by their comic book appearance over the Marvel Cinematic Universe juggernaut that most people have become accustomed to seeing nowadays – Shang-Chi was released in the Item Shop back in September 2021 and did not reference or make use of his MCU aesthetic or likeness.

Players can purchase the Green Goblin Bundle for 2,100 V-Bucks which includes the Green Goblin Outfit, Pumpkin Bomb Back Bling, Arm The Pumpkin! Emote, Pumpkin P’Axe Pickaxe, Goblin Glider Glider, and Attack of the Goblin Loading Screen. Those wishing to obtain certain cosmetics rather than having to purchase the entire bundle have the opportunity to acquire the Green Goblin Outfit, Pumpkin P’Axe Pickaxe, Goblin Glider Glider, and Arm The Pumpkin! Emote separately with each unique item costing 1,500 V-Bucks, 800 V-Bucks, 800 V-Bucks, and 200 V-Bucks respectfully. Players will receive a discount of 1,200 V-Bucks if they package everything together instead of individually; Loading Screen is also exclusive to the bundle and cannot be acquired through any other methods.

The partnership with Marvel Comics is still going strong and does not show any signs of slowing down any time soon. The Chapter 3 Island currently includes a Daily Bugle location which houses various newspaper articles that featured pictures of Green Goblin and players were already speculating that he would be appearing in the near future; especially with the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home shortly after Season 1 had begun. Epic Games has teased on their official website that even more Spider-Man characters (friends and foes) could be appearing in the Fortnite Item Shop before the conclusion of the current season – unknown if The Daily Bugle will remain but it is highly unlikely and will undoubtedly be removed in some fashion; either story related or swapped out with another location altogether.

Fortnite is available now on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Windows PC, and Android devices.
