Respawn Delivers Next-Gen Upgrade Details For Jedi Fall Order Players On Xbox Series X|S And PS5

Players will be able to return to a galaxy far, far away as Respawn has announced that Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 versions of Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order are now available with FREE cross-generation upgrades to current owners. Those that have not yet purchased the title already will be able to pick up a physical copy from participating retailers for $54.99 CAD as well as from select digital marketplaces including the Microsoft Store, PlayStation Store, and Epic Games Store.

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order was originally released on November 15th, 2019 and has since sold over 20 million copies with players taking the role of Cal Kestis – a Jedi in hiding – as he fights to protect his identity, evade the Empire, and uncover the mysteries of a long-extinct civilization. The next-generation upgrades will provide players with the best possible way to experience Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order on home consoles; the perfect time to pick up a customizable lightsaber and become a Jedi.

Respawn outlined several key technical improvements to the next-generation versions of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order which include higher resolution textures and assets, 4K High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDR) resolution, improved 60 frames-per-second (FPS) performance, and significantly faster loading times during gameplay. Performance Mode has also been added which operate at 1440p Resolution at 60 FPS when enabled and 4K Resolution at 30 FPS when disabled with no graphical settings available for the Xbox Series S console which are locked at 1080p Resolution at 60 FPS.

Players that have a physical copy of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One are automatically entitled to the next-generation version with detailed instructions on how to upgrade their copies available on the PlayStation and Xbox support websites. Those with discless consoles are still entitled to their upgrades but will need to contact EA Support in order to get the process started and to validate proof of purchase using their account information; Standard Edition owners will receive the Standard Edition upgrade and Deluxe Edition owners will receive the Deluxe Edition upgrade.
