Glide Like A Sky Bison And Reach Your Avatar State With Fortnite X Last Airbender Collaborative Event

It takes a true warrior to master the elements – earth, water, air, and fire – but Epic Games is giving players the opportunity to prove themselves worthy of these formidable bending techniques by way of the Avatar: Elements mid-seasonal event. It began after the v29.20 update on April 12th, 2024 and concludes on May 3rd, 2024 at 2AM EST ahead of another popular celebration. Players expected to see several characters from the animated Nickelodeon series incorporated into Fortnite given that Korra appears as the secret skin for Myths & Mortals which tackles Greek mythology. An iceberg was placed in-game containing a frozen Aang and Appa days before the event started – some players initially thought it to be the Zero Point – centre of the Fortnite mythos and source of everything.

Players can complete Elements Quests – divided into six Chakra phases – and earn Chi to unlock rewards within the Elements Pass which has FREE and Premium Tracks to pursue. Those that manage to successfully complete all six Chakras will unlock the Appa Glider which is not an event exclusive cosmetic and may become purchasable in the Item Shop at a later date. There are twenty two rewards to unlock including eight instant Battle Pass levels spread out across both tiers however players will need to purchase access to the Premium Track for 1,000 V-Bucks – ineligible for returns. Sokka’s Space Sword Pickaxe and Avatar State Aang Outfit await players at the end of each respected tier.

Elemental Shrines have been placed around the island. Players can open Bending Scroll Containers and wield FOUR different bending techniques – each with their own unique abilities:

• Waterbending: hurl sharp and icy projectiles at opponents; restore health in water
• Earthbending: summon a rock barrier for protection and throw stone slabs
• Firebending: shoot flame arcs and fire slam opponents from above; explodes on impact
• Airbending: traverse on an air wheel and air jump to reach new heights

The Item Shop contains additional Avatar: The Last Airbender cosmetics including the Zuko & Katara Bundle which can be purchased for 3,200 V-Bucks and packages the Katara Outfit, Katara’s Waterskin Back Bling, Southern Water Tribe Club Pickaxe, Zuko Outfit, Zuko’s Broadswords Pickaxe, Zuko’s Scabbard Back Bling, and LEGO Styles – discount of 800 V-Bucks. Players can procure select cosmetics through their own individual bundles and offerings; cannot purchase items individually:

There are some notable absences such as Sokka – Katara’s older brother – which could indicate that Epic Games has plans for a second wave down the pipeline. A live-action series is streaming exclusively on Netflix with a second and third season scheduled to begin production soon. Reception has been generally positive with greater admiration than the 2010 film directed by M. Night Shyamalan – ratings were utterly abysmal. Event Passes have become quite common in Fortnite and usually drop around mid-season updates or special occasions – Star Wars Day traditionally being one of them.
