Naruto Returns To Fornite With Friends And Rivals Ready To Conquer Another Nindo Challenge Event

After exploding onto the Fortnite island back in November 2021 to unadulterated hype, Epic Games has brought characters from the beloved anime series Naruto back for another round of competition with some additional friends and foes making their debut. The anime series was created by Japanese manga artist Masashi Kishimoto in 1999 with the original graphic novel ending its printed run in 2014 whilst the animated television series wrapped up in 2017 after a total of 500 episodes and ten theatrical films had been produced. Epic Games released the Naruto cosmetics on June 23rd, 2022 at 8PM EST before announcing that players would have an opportunity to unlock select items at no additional cost.

Players can purchase – for the first time – the Itachi & Orochimaru Bundle for 2,200 V-Bucks which includes the Itachi Uchiha Outfit, Black Ops Mask Back Bling, Orochimaru Outfit, Striking Shadow Snakes Emote, and Islandbound Ninja Loading Screen. The latter features artwork by Studio Pierrot and is exclusive to the aforementioned bundle; cannot be purchased separately. Both of the Outfits can be procured individually with the Itachi Uchiha Outfit available for 1,500 V-Bucks which includes a Black Ops style whilst the Orochimaru Outfit is priced at a slightly higher price point of 1,600 V-Bucks on account of the included Emote; equipped with a Hidden Leaf Era style. The Black Ops Mask Back Bling also includes additional styles – Itachi, Tenzo, Kakashi, and Black Ops respectively.

The Gaara & Hinata Bundle is available for 2,400 V-Bucks which includes the Gaara Outfit, Sand Gourd Back Bling, Gaara’s Sand Cloud Glider, Hinata Hyuga Outfit, Hinata’s Backpack Back Bling, and Shinobi Lineup Loading Screen; artwork by Studio Pierrot and exclusive to the bundle. Players can purchase select items individually with the Gaara Outfit (Glider included) priced at 1,800 V-Bucks whilst the Hinata Hyuga Outfit can be procured for 1,500 V-Bucks. Both Outfits come equipped with additional styles such as the Fifth Kazekage style for the Gaara Outfit and Hinata Uzumaki and Byakugan styles for the Hinata Outfit. Gaara’s Sand Cloud Glider is also restricted for use with the Gaara Outfit.

Rounding out the latest batch of Naruto themed cosmetics is the Nindo Gear Bundle which combines the Minato’s Kunai Pickaxe, Rasenshuriken Emote, and Sword of Kusanagi Pickaxe altogether for 1,300 V-Bucks; players get a discount of 400 V-Bucks when purchasing the entire bundle. Each cosmetic can alternatively be bought on their own for 500 V-Bucks, 400 V-Bucks, and 800 V-Bucks respectively however two final items – Manda Glider & Akatsuki Wrap – are available for players to unlock for FREE by completing the Nindo Challenge event which returns for another bout of grueling tasks.

The Nindo Challenge began on June 21st, 2022 and concludes on July 7th, 2022 at 11:59PM EST. Players can register on the official website and choose one of four paths to complete which are focused around the four latest Naruto characters: Itachi, Gaara, Hinata, and Orochimaru. Tasks can be completed in any order that participants see fit but dedication will be required – and necessary – in order to earn badges and unlock all of the available rewards. Players can simultaneously earn 20,000 XP to help level up their Battle Pass after gaining five badges from one applicable path – 80,000 XP in total.

• One badge in the Gaara path unlocks the Focused Gaara Emoticon
• One badge in the Hinata path unlocks the Byakugan Hinata Emoticon
• One badge in the Orochimaru path unlocks the Orochimaru’s Smile Emoticon
• Ten badges of any of the paths unlock the Akatsuki Wrap
• Complete all four paths to claim the final reward of the Manda Glider
