Nathan Drake And Chloe Frazer Search For Hidden Treasure As Uncharted Officially Comes To Fortnite
Fortune and adventure has brought Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer to the Fortnite Island with Epic Games celebrating the recent release of the Uncharted movie on February 18th, 2022 starring Tom Holland (Spider-Man: No Way Home) and Mark Wahlberg (Instant Family, Wahlburgers) as the titular Nathan Drake and Victor “Sully” Sullivan respectively. The Uncharted collaboration officially arrived in the Item Shop on February 17th, 2022 and brought together two distinct variations of the beloved characters from the PlayStation exclusive franchise with film and video game versions of Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer. This also marks Holland’s second appearance in the Fortnite universe after appearing as Peter Parker/Spider-Man during Winterfest to promote Spider-Man: No Way Home in theaters.
Players looking to unearth some treasure can grab the Uncharted Bundle from the Item Shop for 2,500 V-Bucks which includes the Chloe Frazer Outfit, Chloe’s Pack Back Bling, Parashurama Pickaxe, Nathan Drake Outfit, Second Hand Saber Pickaxe, and the Update Journal Emote. The Chloe Frazer character design is inspired by her appearance in both Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (PS4/PS5) video game as well as her portrayal by actress Sophia Ali (Grey’s Anatomy) in the film adaptation. Epic Games also took that same methodology and applied it to the Nathan Drake design which was inspired by Holland’s cinematic performance in addition to the iconic model from Uncharted: A Thief’s End who is voiced by actor Nolan North. Surprisingly, both characters are not part of the Gaming Legends Series but this could simply be due to the fact that the film versions are attached to their gaming Outfits.
Those wishing to attain a more individualistic adventure on the Fortnite Island can purchase any of the cosmetics from the aforementioned Uncharted Bundle on their own with the Nathan Drake Outfit and Chloe Frazer Outfit available for 1,500 V-Bucks each. Subsequently, players have the option of acquiring the Parashurama Pickaxe, Second Hand Saber Pickaxe, and Update Journal Emote separately from the Item Shop for 500 V-Bucks, 500 V-Bucks, and 200 V-Bucks respectively with a discount of 1,700 V-Bucks applied to the bundle – which would otherwise cost players 4,200 V-Bucks altogether.
Epic Games has also reintroduced the Buried Treasure Map – aptly named Drake’s Map – which was originally added into Season 8 of Fortnite back in February 2019 which was heavily themed around swashbuckling pirates, adventure, and the jungle – “X Marks The Spot” was the official designation or subtitle for the season. Players can use Drake’s Map to locate a hidden treasure chest which is buried somewhere on the island that contains valuable loot including Legendary weapons.
Fortnite is available now on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Windows PC, and Android devices – iOS compatibility is available through the GeForce Now subscription service.
