Xbox Launches Series X Console Wraps With Stylish Selections Including Starfield For Upcoming Launch

Microsoft is giving players the opportunity to customize their Xbox experience even further with the introduction of Xbox Series X Console Wraps – solid core panels with high-tech fabric finishes designed to securely fit around the console. Monique Chatterjee, Senior Design Director unveiled the products on August 21st, 2023 via Xbox Wire and confirmed that they would be launching within the next two months with pre-orders available now through the Microsoft Store. There are three designs to choose from including Arctic Camo, Mineral Camo, and Starfield which shares a unique aesthetic featured within the upcoming game itself – pairs perfectly with the Headset and Controller accessories.

Xbox Series X Console Wraps have been designed with meticulous attention to detail – ensuring that adequate ventilation and air flow are maintained to prevent consoles from overheating. Players attach and secure them with a special hook and loop enclosure which has silicone padding on the inside to prevent wraps from sliding around; not affixed to the console. Sony released a similar product back in 2022 with Console Covers – detachable plates that can be easily removed from the PlayStation 5 base unit and swapped with different colours in dozens of combinations. Players can also design custom controllers using the Xbox Design Lab service starting at $84.99 CAD with Xbox Elite Wireless Controller (Series 2) available for $189.99 CAD respectively – components and accessories sold separately.

The Arctic Camo and Mineral Camo wraps feature a woodland pattern and are priced at $59.99 CAD each; launch simultaneously on November 10th, 2023 in Canadian markets. Both options contain a soft microfiber fabric on the outside and soft precision sheen on the inside. The Starfield wrap is priced at $64.99 CAD and launches on October 18th, 2023 – transforms Xbox Series X consoles into an on-board avionics module that would fit perfectly within the game world. Some highlights and details include a colourful Constellation ribbon and gold metallic Constellation logo on the back. Microsoft can naturally add Xbox Series X Console Wraps to the Xbox Design Lab service but nothing has been confirmed.

Starfield launches on September 6th, 2023 for Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC.
