Fortnitemares Event Treats Players To Spooktacular Collaborations Including Haddonfield’s Boogeyman
Halloween has returned to Fortnite and Epic Games has orchestrated one of their most spooktacular events in Fortnitemares history. The annual celebration began on October 10th, 2023 and will conclude on November 3rd, 2023 at 2AM EST prior to another monumental venture for the game. Players have until then to complete themed Fortnitemares Quests and earn rewards in Battle Royale/Zero Build and Horde Rush which returns for a limited time. Epic Games has also unvautled some classic Halloween items including the Pumpkin Launcher and Witch Broom whilst introducing the Wood Stake Shotgun and Thorne’s Vampiric Blade – the latter which is dropped by Revenant Kado Thorne himself.
While previous Fortnitemares events have been met with stark criticism, Epic Games was perfectly positioned to host an unforgettable party this year given that vampire collector Kado Thorne has been taking centre stage this season. Players can finally venture into the inner Sanctum of Eclipsed Estate and confront Revenant Kado Thorne – a formidable opponent – and indulge in Sanguine Sweets which grant different effects upon consumption; Candy Corn, Pepper Mints, Hop Drops, and Jelly Beans manifest from Candy Buckets found across the island. The Item Shop is also home to hauntingly fresh cosmetics including the Bogstick Outfit and Phantom Meowscles Outfit alongside items which were released during previous Halloween seasons; typically only appear during October rotations.
Players looking to earn some extra treats can complete Fortnitemares Quests to unlock Battle Pass XP alongside a variety of cosmetics after fulfilling certain requirements. Epic Games stated that players will have until November 3rd, 2023 before Quests disappear and it is unknown as to whether any of the cosmetics will make their way to the Item Shop at a later date or awarded in another manner.
